ABOUT RUBBISH

Cosmo Wallace and Karl Davies formed Rubbish to elevate the stories and talent that often end up in the wastepaper bin.

Leveraging world-class storytelling and performances from untapped sources, Rubbish creates high quality output for diverse platforms, regardless of budget.

TEAM RUBBISH

Karl Davies’s life has been spent on set: developing the unusual level of skill and commitment that has placed him among global icons on television’s most famous shows. On stage, he performed the award winning The Great Game: Afghanistan across the USA, acted across from Jude Law in Kevin MacDonald’s Black Sea, and over the last decade has become a constant presence on British and International television, taking roles in cultural touchstones Game of Thrones, Chernobyl, and Happy Valley. A consumate professional with an intimate knowledge of production, Karl soon moved into producing roles, beginning on the Award-winning independent feature Fractured, co-founding the education content startup Edisodes, and forming Rubbish with Cosmo in 2023.

Cosmo Wallace

Cosmo Wallace has always gone his own way. Forgoing early promise as an academic, he left Oxford University to paint sets in Glasgow as an art department runner, working his way up on set with no formal training to win awards as a commercials director and copywriter. He shot across the world for clients such as Microsoft, Samsung, the Graphene Institute and the England World Cup Squad, and met and worked with Karl Davies on their celebrated short, NSFW, in 2015. Always restless, he moved into game development in the late 2010s, directing cinematics on several AAA titles for IO Interactive, moving to Copenhagen to become Game Director on their James Bond title in collaboration with EON Productions. He left to form Rubbish with Karl in 2023.
